About Commitment
A lot of friends are complaining about relationship recently. They don’t like this and they don’t like that. Usually, I’ve heard about similar complain from them for a really long time and I’ve very curious about why they are still bearing all these things and suffering from such choice.
I’ve always suggest people to quit the relationships they have amounts of complain but they all express the willingness to keep on going for a longer time to see if the situations are going to change later.
I found it to be quite interesting as usually the longer you stay in one desperate relationship, the more likely you are going to find it a pity to give up trying as you have already paid soooo much emotion and effort for it. It’s just like business. The effort you’ve paid out for a bad relationship is just like the sink cost. The more you paid for that, the more you are going to expect from it, the less likely you are going to quit easily, and well, the more desperate you are going to become.
People criticize quitting a relationship too easily as having no commitment to long-term future. Well, I think it’s good to have faith and hope in the brighter future. However, sometimes, it’s going to be nothing about love any longer, but just about the reluctance to give up the investment on love. And the cost keeps accumulating. In the end, we have to admit that life is usually brutal. More often, it’s going to develop into a weird circulation. It’s a shame.
Maybe, sometimes, we just need to a little bit more rational and realistic, and cut through the things bothering us.
Why not get out of the relationships you don’t like once you found out they don’t fit you at all? Why not try to have faith in that you deserve something and someone better and have faith in that you are going to find your perfect partner later.
